Morning guys. Im stressing out here! Picked up a pair of really nice black ice clowns the on monday afternoon. Brought them home, temp acclimated the bag for 30 minutes, then put them in my bucket that i use to drip acclimate. Yesterday i noticed a few white tiny spots on the bigger one of the pair, no biggie then this morning before i came into work i turned on my LED's to feed and I noticed the white one looks like a teenagers face filled with white heads, the poor guy is covered in tiny white spots now i noticed the small one has some as well :0( theres not much i can do the next 24hrs because I'm a firefighter and I'm on duty today only thing i can do since i leave close by i asked my captain if i could swing by later really quick and I'm gonna attempt to fish them out and place them in my make shift Qt tank (Bucket, heater, and powerhead) i have some salt water i purchased that I'm gonna use instead of the water from my actual tank.
All my other fish i have are ick free well at least they don't show any signs of Ick although I've read on here it could be in the water column fish include Yellow tang, Naso Tang, Pair of Lyretail Anthias, Mandarin goby, pair of fire fish, and one cleaner wrasse. All have been in there 3+ months never had an Ick out break. Im freaking out here first big $$ investment. Chad said they might be stressed which I'm hoping for. My water parameters as off last night
Salinity 1.024, ALK 7.3 dKH, Calcium 420, pH8.3, Ammonia 0, Nitrate 20 Ive been having issue with Phosphates now down .16
Crap I just hope they make it till tomorrow.
Any suggestions will help or just tell me they are gonna be ok :0[ :dontknow:

Maybe its Brooknellya (spelling?).. aka clownfish disease. There are medications you can get but you would need to do it in a separate hospital tank.

didn't think clowns can get ick..
Not sure if they can. Some what new to all this Ron. Im assuming thats what it is not sure. Any other suggestions? They've been both swimming around just fine the last two days. They look like really small zits and from last night until this morning the big one is covered in them the small one is starting to break out a little. :banghead::fie:

the med you need is ''rid ick+'' im say it is Brooknellya but rid ick+ will kill Brooknellya and ick so just ues it.
btw it is not reef safe so like the bean said use a separate hospital tank

so its a possibility that it might be ick then? Mortality rate? I hope the little guys don't go belly up on me by the time i get home :( FML
Clowns are pretty strong fish and if you have a healthy stress free tank it may go away on its own if its ICH... I think if you just keep feeding them... soak the food in garlic... or try the Spectrum Thera + Pellets... if you don't want to remove and treat.

I would treat if its brook. Without a pic it sounds like ich based on your description.

Sounds like ich but need pics to confirm. If it brook you need to treat immediately brook kills quick and is very aggressive. I would treat for both

In my experience, ick won't kill them in a couple days if they were healthy to begin with. It takes a bit. You can isolate them to prep for the treatment and maybe a fresh water dip.

While out on a call came across a fish store so I managed to pick up some Rid Ick plus and some Thera Spectrum + food. Hope I can fish them out easily when I get home. Hopefully they are still alive.
