Wow....it looks like your Zoas are mating with Aiptasia :conf44:

How long did it take to go from one to ten??? If it was "quickly" then they are likely to be a problem no matter what they are.

Unfortunately I think it might be a majano anemone. Look up some pictures on the web and if you agree...GET RID OF IT!!!!! (I mean them).

Nice pic BTW

a majano? i dont think so.. i got it from a lfs after buying a bunch of sps.. i would hope they wouldnt give me majano bc the lfs knows his stuff..it was actually just thrown in my tank and started growing on the sand and attached itself to the front glass of my tank and i just removed it from glass

The first majano I ever saw was in a lfs in the tank where single polyps and really small frags were. I bought it thinking it was a "baby" bubble tip anemone. Got it home and did a little research. Returned it immediately and told him why. He put it back in the tank I got it from.

But anyway...if it is growing that fast I would be a bit concerned. Nothing good ever happens quickly in a reef tank. It certainly looks like some type of anemone.

i wish mojano's looked even close to the first picture...

to me they look like a neon blue sky morph, or they could be aquamans under high flow...

No they look like a type of palythoas. I would however, be careful as they can take your tank over in no time flat. Zoanthids and Palys multiply by what is called budding. So theoretically they multiply like so (1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128) etc... They usually grow a little slower than that, but you can see where the problem lies.

They look cool, but as I said I would have very keen eye on them as if they start choking other corals out, they will become a problem quickly.

those are amphipalyzoanthids... kind of like knightmares, ruby reds and OG darth mauls... they will not take over a tank or rocks...

you know what, i found neon sky's on zoaid, and although they are close, they aren't the same...

i don't think they are aquaman blue's under high flow for the long skirt... they are zoanthids...
