I found this site thanks to Bergovoy's thread on RC. Well, as for my tank, its a 240g with a 60g sump. Actually I'm not even sure if its truly a 60g since I have not taken the measurements and put it into a volume calculator, lol. Currently from Canyon Country/SCV, but mostly go to LFS's down in SFV such as Rainbow Pet. The LFS's up here aren't really anything astonishing, so thats why I look elsewhere.

Nick A! What's goin on bro. See you on RC all the time. I'm the xenia kid, xxvietxjustinxx. Hope to see you around here more often; it's a great forum with lots more personality than RC, especially when it comes to that damn chat box above.

Maybe we can meet up and trade some time; I'm located in the SFV and I have tons of xenia if you're interested.

Since I talked with Mike recently, I thought I would post up an update since I've been gone from this forum for a while.

A few months ago my tank suffered a major Ich infestation which resulted in a loss of many of my corals and fish. A large red cap I bought the day of RAP suffered RTN and now only 40-60% of the original colony remains. My beloved birdsnests are either on the tip of dying completely or are already gone. My favorite and prized coral, my blue tort, RTN'd and died in a single day. It felt odd that the tank would undergo a large crash even with 160+gallons of NSW being changed once or twice each month, testing being done regularly, and an extra skimmer to help with the bioload. And so I from that I felt pretty discouraged. Majority of the corals lost were purchased at RAP, and before RAP I was just working everyday including weekends for 3 weeks straight in order to buy them at RAP. I missed out on parties, eating and going out with friends just so I can earn money to buy corals at the expo(I must be loser or that hooked on reefing, lol).

Right afterwards I was bit with the photography bug, and since then much of my attitude was changed from my tank. My mind went from saving towards that BK250 ext or Reeflo 250 skimmer towards a new camera setup. In addition I've been pretty busy with school and hanging out with friends more often. All these distractions just reduced a lot of the time I used to spend on my tank.

But recently I've began to start putting more effort into maintenance of the tank. I've noticed that my pair of tomato clowns laid eggs under one of their anemones, and have yet to see whats going on with them since the anemone covers them majority of the time. Significant amounts of coralline have started to grow all around the tank, signaling that the tank is much more stable than its ever been. But since I'm currently getting a new job and still need to get my camera setup, it will be a while until my tank sees new livestock or that new skimmer I've been longing for.
