hey guys, found your site through reefcentral.com and sfvr.net, wanted to stop by and say hi.

quick intro:

i made the mistake of taking my g/f to the fish store with me and low and behold she fell in love w/ saltwater fish. i made the decision to sell all my freshwater tanks and start my first saltwater tank about 3 weeks ago. bought a complete Aquapod 24 off craigslist, enjoyed it for a week. but after finding reefcentral.com i knew that 24 gallons wasn't enough. so i sold it a week later and bought a 60g cube w/ 20g sump. starting fresh with this one, so i could learn along the way. yep, that's right... 2 tanks in less then 2 week. i'm ADDICTED!!

:elefant: <-- best.smiley.ever!

EDIT:
old tank:

new tank: water testing in this picture. i wanted to go rimless, but i'll leave that for a later date.

Welcome aboard! I know what u mean about the tank upgrades....I just started a 50 gal about 3 months ago...got plexiglasss, big mistake. With all the re-arranging of coral, I have a TON of scratches now, and it just doesnt look as nice as the glasss setups. I think Ill stay w/this for a while, till I get better and gather all the equiptment I need.

The peeps on here are SO helpful, you will find a great deal of advice. Dont forget to check the sales forums, there are always people giving items away or charging dirt cheap!

Good luck.....

welcome. I sure know how you feel about buying those 2 tanks in couple of weeks. I started 30g, now im on 145 gallon acrylic. But I would say I like glass tank better. they are much cleared for me than acrylic. And you dont have to worry about deep scratches.
