I'm located in Tustin, originally from Chino.
My tank is a home made 32"x32"x24" acrylic on top of a homemade stand. Total system volume is about 115 gallons.
There is about 120 lbs of LR and 50lbs of aragonite.
Lighting is a single 400 watt MH Hamilton 14k pendant on a 9 hour timer.
Filtration is a 30" sump with nothing but a filter sock and a Octopus XPS200 skimmer.
Water return is a Gen-X Mac 40 which I have teed to my returns and a JBJ arctica 1/5hp chiller. I also have an MP40 for more random water movement.
Tank also has an ATO with a 5 gallon jug and an autofeeder with a timer to shut off the returns for feeding times.
I also do weekly 10 gallon water changes.
The system is pretty hands off day to day, which is nice as I often leave town for a week at time.
I also don't have a lot to spend on the hobby so everything is purchased second hand, except for the skimmer and the homemade stuff.

I currently have a Sailfin Tang, Clown, Starry Blenny, Peppermint Shrimp, and three Azure Damsels (who hide all the time and only cause problems).
Corals are a little different than the pictures as during the last summer my tank's temperature climbed to high and killed a couple.
Toadstool coral along with around 5 varied in size frags that formed after I moved and had to break the rocks apart it was attached to. Kenya tree, Frag of pulsing Xenia, Montipora, Green/Purple frogspawn frag, Green Open Brain, Trumpet Frag, Maxima Clam, and a bunch of watermelon mushrooms. Also two SPS that I don't know enough to identify. One is an acro i think. :)

My first tank was a 60 gallon FW that was passed on from my dad after my mother no longer wanted it in her living room. I was around 8-9 at the time and the only reason the tank survived at all was because it was so well established. Didn't really do water water changes or change the carbon in the filter. I had no idea at the time. I had no tank for a long time after that, but about 4 years ago a friend was given a tank. It resparked my interest and after a quick search on CL, I soon had a 55 gallon SW reef. That ran for about 2 year, and is now replaced by the current 100 gallon for the last year and a half.

I personally am 28 and work for a church handling all the live sound/lighting/video operation and installation and some video production/photography. My other hobbies extend into car audio, home theatre, cabinetry, photography, and speaker building.

I'm on the board to learn as much as I can and maybe find some good deals on equipment, frags etc. and be of any help I can.

thanks

Ryan

Thanks for the warm welcomes! I will be at RAP on Sunday and it will be my first time.

My tank is currently set up in my bedroom as I am renting a room from an older couple. I used to rent a house with roommates but they all moved out simultaneously and I ended up here. Its nice and cheap, and I don't really need much space. In a 10x11 room with a small entry way, I have a queen size bed (lofted) entertainment center with 57" TV, two person couch, wall unit, dresser, aquarium, and shelving unit for water storage and mixing. If there is more than one person in the room, it gets difficult to maneuver. :)

I'm looking at changing up my setup. It's gets pretty hot in the room with the 400 watt MH and no ventilation during the day, so I ended up getting a chiller and mounting it in the window. I'm looking to getting a shallower tank and going with LEDs to hopefully eliminate the need for the chiller except in summer months. My dream tank would be a 72"Lx24"Wx18"H giving more swimming room for my tang, and more room under neath to add a refugium. I want to be able to cultivate pods in order to help support things like mandarin dragonets or maybe a leopard wrasse or two. It's a pretty uncommon size, but if I can't find one, I'll probably just make one again.
