I've kept many fresh water fish in the past and currently. About 2 months ago I bought my biggest tank yet a 150 gallon (72" x 20" x 24"h) and I'd like to make it my first salt water tank. I'm trying to get together all my equipment and finish up the stand before I put everything together. I'll be asking questions in the appropriate sub-forums, but I thought I'd introduce myself here to get started.

welcome, I am building a tank from scratch as well(meaning replacing all the old stuff from my old tank and building a completely new set-up. If you want some hints/tricks, I have seen a lot of ideas here and on RC. If you haven't drilled your tank yet I would suggest a silent failsafe design( http://www.beananimal.com/projects/silent-and-fail-safe-aquarium-overflow-system.aspx ) I have heard a lot of people use it with great results...
