I guess the previous owner of my 120g was just dumping ca and mg without testing cause they are skyhigh. I reused a lot of the old water, maybe around 80g of it and when I tested a few weeks later Ca was 540 and Mg was over 1500 (highest salifert went). I have done a 25g water change but didn't really seem to drop all that much and I just did another 20g last night. I will test again tonight. My alk was about 9dkh in the first test and 7.5 in the most recent. I'm also using Redsea salt in blue bucket.

Yeah Like Jose said. Just let the tank work it out. Just make sure to keep Alk stable and where you want it to be.

I agree let it come down on its own, keep your alk stable. If you lower your alk from 7 to 9 you will see CA go up, also check your salinity as high salinity will make everything higher.

I had same issue from using Kalk in my ATO because it was building up so much in bottom that concentration just kept raising and went too high.
