OGFrenchHorn,

No pennies or bleach..... But many moons ago I used to pee in the sump. It started as a conversation at IMAC with some other people that were growing acros. I forget what our theory was for what we were adding to the system with urine. But it was funny. As I have gotten older I keep having to take more and more prescriptions, and so my urine ain't quite so clean and I stopped tinkling in the tank.

People will add the darndest things to their tanks in the hope of success :)

I thought phosphate that high would be so harmful that the coral would just come right off the stony structure..., at least that's how LPS was like for me.

Yezzy Reef - Camera is still up - Time Warner crapped out last night so they were here today fixing the line. So today was a bad day for the cam - www.o2manyfish.com/camera.htm

SC50964 - The phosphates back in November were over 2.0 and no coral health issues. I know of several tanks that run with phosphates over 2. And I know of a couple very successful LPS/Softy tanks with phosphates as high as 3.6 - for years and years.
