HOB skimmer info...

So for a HOB skimmer for a sumpless 55, I am tired of the coralife super skimmer... Keeps having the venturi plug and just starts pumping water into my drain bucket. My GF caught it this morning and unplugged it with the water about 2" below the top of the 5g drain bucket.
I am looking at the Reef Octopus BH-90 and the Bubble Magus NAC5E.
Leaning towards the reef octo since it will actually surface skim instead of sucking from below the surface... Any experience with either?

I had a BH-1000 and it was awesome for my 40g tank. No experience with the BH-90 but based on the BH-1000 I'd likely take that chance. I also had a BM Nac6 I think. It was in sump but it worked great. I guess what I'm saying is that both manufacturers you're looking at have had quality products in my tanks. So I guess I'm not much help.

I would look into a Eshopps hob 100 I ran one for 5 years no issues works great we have one on display in the shop I love them they run about 200.00 but worth every penny pm me if you have any questions

if your going to go hang on you might as well get the cpr hang on fuge/skimmer its only 75 more than the reef octopus heres a link so you can check it out
