I hope that you've been a good boy/girl this year. Every year around this time, I wish for good health, prosperity, spending quality time with family & friends, trying out different wine & liquor, and add more toys for the reef tank. I'm out of ideas this year for the tank; but if I have to choose one present, it will be a gigantea anemone!

What is your must-have present this holiday season?

Some tangs to eat all that hair algae and a new auto fish feeder since the old one died.

I've been the most excellent boy I know. :ROFLMAO:

Tangs: sailfin tang is always my fav. Mine eats all types of algae, including bubble algae. She’s a keeper!

Fish feeder: I got those cheap, battery operated ones on Amazon - works like a champ vs my Neptune AFS.

I think it’s time for some new sandals. My rainbows are like 12 years old lol
Well -- you certainly got your money's worth! lol I own 2 sandals and wear them pretty much year-round...

My son & I are thinking of getting a 3D printer to print reefing gadgets -- will be fun!

Curious why RS Pro Salt with a dKH of 12? I use the blue bucket with a dKH of 8.

Not sure tbh. Doesn’t it have better trace elements and a higher alk to help with stability?

Depends on your tank's alk level. I keep mine around 8-8.5 dKH so the blue bucket of 8dKH works better if I perform a WC (which is only used as emergencies). I rarely perform WCs anymore...

Anyway, if you keep your alk on the higher end of 11-12'ish, I hope your nutrients (N&P) are higher. My NO3 is around 25-30 and PO4 is around 0.20.

This is my nem tank — keeping things at 8’ish gives me a margin for error.

N&P are on the low side so trying to boost things up.

My SPS tank dipped below 8 since it was going beyond 9 dKH so I’ve recently killed CO2 to the CaRx to let things settle down. This tank consumes alk like mad tho!

I have a X1 Carbon, well worth the money. I started with ender 3 pros and they were cheap but definitely a pain in the ass to get a decent print unless you upgrade it.
