So I have a 36"x24"x22" tank currently with a Hamilton Cebu sun metal halide/T5/led moonlights. This fixture came with my tank I bought. Don't really want halide, I prefer LEDs but want to round out the spectrum with 4-6 T5's. Already have one Ecotech radion that I was planning on putting in the center of the diy t5 fixture. I could remove the halide from the Cebu sun but I'd rather not gut it, and sell it instead to either buy another radion or something else.
How cheap and difficult will this be?

You would have to look for a place that would make the fixture out of plastic with out the wires. After that you would have to know how to wire it.

I don't know if 1-Radion would be enough. I would maybe do 2-Radions and 4-36" t5s.

A retrofit t5 is super easy to install.
I used a kit from hello lights. Like this
