How long have you been in this Hobby?

Like I said I started back in the 80s but started keeping corals in the 90's. I bought my live rocks for Jeff's Exotic. This was before Jeff had his large store in Torrance. I bought it from his house. Yes his house. He was opening his first smaller store in Torrance weeks later. I miss those 9 corals for $99 deals when Jeff opened up his large warehouse.
Also I ordered some of my first corals from Marine Depot. There were no internet back then so I ordered via the phone off a FAMA magazine. Since Marine Depot was small and just got started the owner (I think Ken) actually delivered the corals for me since he lived closed to Monterey Park.

I started in '71 with two percs, some hermit crabs, a jaw fish and a Racoon Butterfly. Those days not much lived that long and no coral at all. We used T-8's and only had Instant Ocean. Kept an octopus in '76 for about a year. Started again in 2003.
