How many guys does it take to carry a 180gal glass tank?

Hi All,

Well it looks like my tank is finished a week early and I can pick it up tomorrow but the problem is I haven't setup any help yet and need to know how many guys are needed to move a 180gal glass tank? Also do you think a stand and tank would fit in the back of a mini van with all the seats folded flat?

2-3 guys and what size tank and stand. If a 6' x24''x24 and stand i say no it will not fit. hth

Me and Jayson lifted one on a truck with a lift so 2 but he counts as 1.5 so maybe 3 to be safe.

2 strong guys like me or 4 weak guys like jesse. and no it will not fit in a minivan you will need a minivan for the stand it might stick out a bit. tank might need a truck long bed prefer

measured the van and with all the seats down we have 49" wide, 36" high, and 86 long

That sounds like a tight fit, might just have to rent a u-haul

Me and John moved his tank just the two of us. Up stairs through doors it was sketchy. I'd say 4. Better to have to many then not enough.

My 180 took 4. Dreading my 10ft... Gonna have to rent suction cups I think.
