How many reactors is to many

So I have a Two reactors. One with GFO and the other one with Carbon. I keep doing water changes but my nitrate is still high. If I add a bio pellet reactor will that be over kill or should I be doing something else? I was told that with the GFO and carbon it’s making me PH and nitrates high so if I don’t add a bio pellet reactor I can vodka dose it. Any thoughts on my situation?

My guess is you’re limiting the bacteria’s ability to use up nitrate by using too much gfo. Carbon dosing will not help you In this situation. Only create more problems. Been there done that my friend.

You can also dose vinegar or no pox. Keep in mind this at drop ph some. Bio pellets is also a fine option
