So,

Ordered 3 AI 52's about 3 weeks ago and received 3 26's instead. Decided to keep them for the shop. Re ordered 52's and had a hard time finding the right hanging kits locally and only had one left from my original order.

Ordered 2 from amazon but one of the parts came defective it doesn't have a thread. Lol

Here is a pic

Can't get a break with hanging these lights. Does anyone have the tool to make a thread on it?

chance took some 310 threaded screws and torched them and bent them and made hooks works great chance is so innovative and handy I think that is the only reason I keep that skinny white boy around

i have a thread dye at home, but i don't know what thread pitch the female end is, so i don't know if i have the right ones.

i'd be worried about cutting threads into a piece that small though. with pieces like that, they're normally caste, which means the metal is kinda brittle/malleable. by the time you cut threads into it, the thing will have lost a lot of its integrity.

granted, you're not hanging much weight, but still.. i personally wouldn't trust it to hold a piece of electrical equipment over a tank of water filled with expensive stuff.. :p

I didn't cut any threads. I bought longer screws with the same pitch from the hardware store and bent the ends hahaha

Edit: but bryan is looking to cut his threads! Haha sorry

I might have something that works. But when you're working with small pieces like that there's always a chance it breaks

LOL new hanging kit came in today- Guess what?

It's defective as well.. The thread is too thick and wont screw in to the other piece. I cant catch a break with these **** lights.
