not gonna put pics...

i have a 30x30x24 tank... 90something gallons... i'm only going to have like, 4 pieces of rocks on the bottom, no sand... and i want the light like 5 inches above the water... it's next to my couch, so i don't want the light blazing on my kids faces... on my old 50g cube, had a aquatic life halo, and it did everything i would want a light to do... no spill over, and it just lit the floor of the tank...

anyways...

how many WATTS would you be okay with...? i'm not gonna spend a grand on a light... thinking of one of them covid19 black box LED's from amazon... would 165W fixture be enough...? or should i get the 300W piece of chet...??? i'm only gonna have softies and maybe an acro or 2... i'm going for that minimalist look... no sand, some rock, 4 fish, and a light 5 inches above the water...

thoughts...????
