Picked it up earlier this morning. Leemar 48Lx30Dx24H. 150 gallons...

So here is the question guys. Whats the best way to clean it with out filling the whole dang thing with water and vinegar. I'm thinking of vinegar with warm water in spray bottle and wet/dry vacuums. Suggestions?

Thanks!

If there is no plumbing coming out the back you can lay it on that and cover it with an inch or two of vinegar water. And the overflow you can just spray with the warm vinager and use a brand new glass scraper blade. Emphasis on brand new since it will least likely scratch up the acrylic because it will be straight.

Ha.. forgot about this. I Didn't mean to put it up as a build thread...

With another baby girl, Christmas and what not things are crazy.. but I guess it is now. If a mod could please move it over to member's tank that would be awesome :) TYVM!

Anyways, got the tank, sump cleaned up. I've decided to fill it up with vinegar/water after all to clean and leak test. Moved it inside... That *$@!$!* is heavy...

Ran a new power circuit to where the tank is going to sit and installed GFCI outlets. Both outlets are on two separate circuits for redundancy and to share the load.

Cleaned the stand and gave the inside a new coat of glaze. Could be better if I wasn't too drunk and tired. Actually, that is the best I could do after the baby bottles, diapers and more importantly... my bottle of Hienies.. hahaha... Sealed the inside.

Almost done with the plumbing. I want it to be as simple as it can get. Just need a couple more 90's.
Gave the rock an acid bath, bleached some others then soaked them in RODI for like a week. Gave them a sun bath for another week.
Did some rock work. Still need to get my hand on some E-Marco-400 to bond the bridges and a couple other pieces. Not a whole lot.

Blah blah blah.. here are the pictures :)

By the way, I got this a while back. I was going to use it but I just don't like the color. If I can't get the E-Marco stuff, I guess it will do. It is safe right?

Finished the plumbing. Added some light to the sump. Finished the rock work.

Did you use this? And did you find out if it is reef safe? I'd probably use it for my new tank if it is safe.

No I did not. I Got some E-Marco from Jorge. I drilled the rock and anchored them with some acrylic pieces, 3 - 5" long x 1/4, that I cut from some 1/4 sheet that I have laying around, then covered them with the E-Marco.

I have read some where that the Quikret is safe for a small amount that was why I bough it in the first place. Please don't quote me on this!

To be honest, I could do with out the E-Marco. I could see a bit of acrylic "rod" which I could use reef safe epoxy to cover it too but I guess the information on the internet sometimes do thing to your mind... :)

I would highly recommend you to drill the rocks and use some sort of stuff to anchor them. I bought the fiber drive way marker thingy from HD but I did not like it for some various reasons so I sorty DIY'd..

Next up.. I need to figure out how to mount the 3 Radions G3's. I have the hood that matches the stand but don't really like it.. I'd rather have an open top tank. Hanging them from the ceiling is a big nope for me. I saw at HD that they have the 24"x 12"(?) bracket thingy that I think would work but need some modifications. Not looking to drop a couple bills just to have a light hanger...

it works, but eventually it'll fall apart underwater. Use this stuff instead

http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-08/nftt/

I used it, and I was able to pick up a 35 pound rock structure by the top piece without it falling apart. I had to drop the entire thing to get the rocks to break apart.

Electrical conduit (the metal stuff) works well for making light mounts. I have an ATI 4x24 and two Kessils hanging from it. Use black appliance spray paint to give it a nice glossy finish.

yep, they are nice and easy to do. I had them on my old tank and did the same thing with the black spray paint. I have the bender and all to do that. I may do a thin floating canopy for this one. Still thinking how to make it looks all nice and stuff :)

Messed with the tank again.. Cant keep my hands off of the new tank.... just like we can't with a new girlfriend... I think I like this better than the previous.

Got some "dosing containers". They fit nicely in the space that I want/have for them.

Still gotta make another trip or two to Hone Depot.
