Picked this up and not sure what it is... Its growing like an sps and is hard... Except the tentacles

I'll try and get some better pix later today..

Tentacles look as if they have some yellow/gold in them

Ive never seen galaxia with a branching growth pattern like that. Usually it is flat and will grow into a dome shape.

that one is growing oddly I have seen them before but they usually encrust or grow into a ball haven't seen one grow like that before very cool!

Hopefully it recovers nicely... Its a gold and purple plated galaxea

In person the tentacles looking like this one

Normally you shouldnt be able to see the exoskeleton, it should be a brownish/purple carapace, not a good sign if its white.

looks like it encrusted over a dead SPS or something... they do that... they will encrust over anything... people have put frags over dead acros to make them look all nice and branchy....

them things kill things, so troucha...
