I've posted this on a couple of sites.

Found this today on a rock after the mushroom retracted. It's about an inch and opens at the ointed end. When open, it raises slightly from the rock.

Hard to tell, but looks like a type of scallop to me. I have a few that live in holes in my rock. The end that opens looks just like that. Amazing that it can come out, I can move the rock, and It still manages to find the same hole, and get backin there!

This is about the best I could do. The mushroom usually covers it with the lights on.

This pic is pretty distorted but you can see the opening in the front.
