Good luck. I have thousands of these in my sump and powerheads. If you can remove that rock, that'd be best. I noticed that they come off equipment when you do a heavy vinegar bath with hot water.

You can scrape them off your walls, but they'll probably come back. If you want to get rid of them from equipment, a heavy dose of vinegar and water bath will do. But you need the solution to be highly concentrated in order to be able to wipe them off with a towel. Otherwise, they'll remain hard. But they're very difficult to get rid of from a tank altogether, if not impossible.
