Does look a lot like freshwater detritus worms. Maybe a marine one? Likely nothing to worry about unless you see the clam bothered by them (or anything else).
That is a Dorvillidae worm, I'm pretty sure. They have distinct eyes and antennae that curve backwards--should be four of them, although the two smaller ones can be hard to see. Detritivores and generally good CUC if you don't mind worms.
