Cover was on. Took a picture with a tip of a pen for size reference on the crack. I hear splashing now and then so I know they were jumping. I guess the gods said it was its time to go

The other one was a female but I think it was starting to turn into sub male. I was going to take it to my other main tank but I couldn't catch the killer tang so didn't want to risk it. Plus I have a Scott's and a Naoko in that tank too so was too nervous

LOL. Good news is that the original is healing nicely so hopefully will get more branching action soon.
