My Rhomboid male passed away this morning...he was perfectly healthy since I had him...he did developed a busted lip but it was very minor..he was eating great and everything. I dont know what could have caused his sudden death. Hes been in my 80 gallon sump with plenty of room to swim and hide. Im really upset right now because this is my second wrasse i lost this past 2 weeks. :( This fish did cost me an arm and a leg..and it went down the toliet 2 mins ago

hey Mike, sorry for your loss, that really sucks. Wrasses can be so finicky , too bad. I do have another male here I can sell you at a deep discount, but maybe you are better off not spending that money now. The rhomboid I have came with yours and he is eating well and looks just fine...so not sure what happend to yours.

We'll take care of you if you need the fish replaced. It doesnt fall under our guarantee since it arrived fine and lived for more than 7-14days after you got him, but you did make a nice purchase from me so I hate to see you get screwed.

Fairy wrasses need to be fed at least twice per day for a good survival , and having a 6 foot or longer tank also helps them live longer.

Trust me I have seen many fairy wrasses die in my short time dealing in this hobby. They are definitely not the hardiest of fish and require a lot of TLC, and even then, sometimes they just croak on you without notice.

man, i know how you feel, i just had a chromis commit suicide on me, only a $3 fish, but he was my first SW fish.
yea even though money plays a little part of it, but a life is a life. I hate to see anything die in my tank, especially a fish. It usually depresses me for a few days. This might hurt for a few weeks.

Dont feel bad, my male crosshatch took a dump last week, and that was $$$$. I at least know pretty much why though, underfed and stressed from my damn Naso. Area just behind his head pretty shrunken, and really noticed how thin he was after I took him out. Didnt even wanna mention it cuz all my fault.
Sorry to hear about that. It hurts even more when you know its your fault and you could have prevented it. In my case, I guess I should have added it to the main tank sooner...

ok let me know, I'd rather sell it to you before someone else gets it cause I dont know when I will get more, but if you rather wait, I am sure we'll get more of them later on.
