I have a IM 40 AIO nuvo. The tank comes with an IM spinner attachment for the water outlet. That thing is awesome (for the price and function). It spins and redirects flow in a circular motion. For 1.5 year, I cleaned it out 2-3 times cuz I let algae grew into a thick mat on it. Soak into vinegar/citric….done. Put back into service . Why don’t they make these spinners for larger tanks (stronger flow application). ? Cuz If you direct this output correctly to work with/against your constant flow wave makers, it can generate pulse and some randomness.
I’ve seen other rotating/oscillating flow devices, they are expensive. (Not referring to the random flow generator volute….no oscillation). Running wave makers on pulse/random can cause premature wear. They are expensive comparatively to the spinner.
Is there a reason why the spinner doesn’t take off ? ….looks ?….. longevity ?…… doesn’t work with high flow pump ?
Thanks.
