My IM 10g currently uses a Y-split 2x 1/4" VCA RFG, one positioned low with long locline. Seemed to work fine early on, but as more stuff added to tank, flow seems to have gone down a lot on the inlet side. Attached pics.

Would a single 1/2" VCA RFG or an IM Spinstream give better flow throughout the tank?

Note: Mightyjet currently set to only 1.5/1.9 because stronger current blows my octo over.

Depending on which would be better, might follow up with a WTB post.

Thanks!

The soon stream can be a little loud (since it has moving parts in it) vac has no moving parts, but needs a high enough water volume through it to work.

@joseserrano I read that it should get quieter over time. Is that true?

@bryanle87 the nozzle goes 360 degrees, and does it cause a lot of spray/splash in the up position?

I'm not familiar with a minimax reactor. Are you near Irvine or South OC? Alternatively, I may be in Van Ness and Pasadena on Sat.

I been using the IM stream in 14 AIO for like 5 months now and it still makes noise HAHA but not too bad. I have an extra new one if you’re interested?
No splash issue

Unsure with long term noise. But I would imagine it would get louder as build up grows inside
