I'm stumped

It is like a leather (soft) but bright purple and plating??? It in a fellow src members tank and he was kind enough to kick me down some but I'm not certain what it is

I was hooked up with a dime size piece a few weeks (3) ago and now nearly a 50cent piece size when it gets bigger I'm gonna spread the love its a very cool piece and a very fast grower

yes also known as a purple ear sponge and they are shiny its cool , looks wet underwater lol and not just because it is under water
