I am in dire need of a replacement return pump for my 300 gallon, it's mostly fish with a couple small corals. I had a vectra L1 that is completely shot. Just got back from vacation to find the pump has seized. Not sure for how long. Thanks!

You might be able to unfreeze it by soaking in vinegar or citric acid. What flow rate are you looking for?

I pulled the impeller out and it looks like the actual housing is compromised and expanded. So much so, that the impeller won't turn at all... I wish some vinegar would fix it...

I have a couple different pumps that you can borrow just to keep flow. Mag 12. Fluval SP2, and a flow star 1800. South West Riverside
Thanks. I've got a mag 12 (I think that's what it is) on there now to give it some filtration and to run the water through my chiller. But I know that's not long term...

I'm looking for about 3000 gph... shouldn't the water over turn 10x an hour?
I like as little turnover as I can use to keep the overflow quiet. There are a bunch of reasons. Pumping water up 4’ is expensive in pump cost, electrical cost and heat transfer. Also, in the case of an electrical outage, the more turnover you run, the higher your sump will fill. I use flow pumps for flow in the tank and return pump just to get enough “dirty“ water as needed to my mechanical filtration, fugue and skimmer. No sense in paying to have water wiz right past the skimmer.

I’ve got a Jebao 12000 DC pump. ~3000gph.

And a Current eFlux 6010 , 1900 gph DC pump (with controller and Bluetooth).

Both are used only a few months.

And a brand NEW Current eflux 6011, 3170 gph DC pump with controller and Bluetooth

In Irvine. PM if interested.

Thanks for everyone's advice! I was able to pick up a replacement used Vectra L1. Should be a direct replacement. Thanks Letsgotothezoo
