Is there an appetite from this group to get 3D Printed gear FASTER and likely CHEAPER than online? My starving student is looking for a side gig to learn. He can make products within days and not weeks! I understand that there is Etsy, PrintedReef, and others out there. I bought a boatload of products online but recently just have him make them for me -- available the next day or faster, depending on how big. Recently, I got 2 XR15 light shades the following day!

Please let me know if there's an interest...thanks!

I would just look at online reef stores and just make the same 3d printed parts and start selling locally.

Thanks. That’s the plan but only make them upon request? Otherwise, I got a bunch of gear that I won’t ever use! lol

Good point for frag racks & submerged items but I imagine other things (shade, nem guard, etc) should be as light as possible?
15% mininum. Need to have some strength so they don’t break holding them lol Is your son learning cad design?

Also, he told me that the correct filament is needed - PETG is reef-safe and beware of others just printing as PLA. Well, he’s cranking out dragons tonight! My frag plugs are waiting in queue! lol

I’ve printed one for my XR15 but sitting under & next to the tank is very challenging to block the light tho
