yes as of thus far its a slow grower but i relocated it to a better spot in the reef. Its exactly like the red planet as far as placement in the tank. higher light=more blue less green. mid light=more green in the base

i'm a sucker for "potential" corals. friend said he got it from a wholesaler and it was dead and dying. looked almost all white with a very small hint of blue. he saw nothing in the coral but death so he gave it to me.

im blue & green color blind, but I still want it

just kidding.

I just showed it to my wife and she said "looks like all your other spikey coral!" No, all her shoes look the same. Its so obviously different, duh! I have no idea what shes talking about.

BTW, thats a low flow growth pattern.

thats funny stuff. sounds like my wife...."thats no red thats pink" babe its called "Red Planet" for a reason.

you're right about the growth. I did have it in a lower flow spot, but now its in a medium flow and higher spot which makes the blue come out more or really makes the green show less however you want to look at it

That's something I would love to have in my tank, but being new to sps, don't think it would be a good idea. I would hate for it to die in my new tank.
