Not sure what it is but keep it isolated from the main rock and keep an eye on it.
Probally a sponge though

If it is a type of sponge it will most likely take over that rock killing the zoas.. Best bet is to frag off the zoas..

Its a burrowing sponge, I just read about it today in an old reef book. Frag the zoos if you can, it will eventually kill coral.

But sponges are like gargonas air kills them, leave it out of water for a good 10 min then just isolate it like mike said. Just to make sure. If u really want to make sure use a tooth brush and scrub it off.

Agree... Just holding it out of the water to take the pic, probably killed it...
