Is this lighting enough???

I have a 12 gallon cube with 24 watts of T5 lighting. 16 watts is 10000k and 8 watts is actinic. I am running the lights for 8 hours a day.

I was wondering is that lighting plan will be sufficient for some polyps, mushrooms, and green hairy mushrooms?

You should be fine with Polyp, shroom, ric and may be xenia

i would keep an eye on it, you've got 2 watts per gallon, and i've always read to shoot for 4-6 watts per gallon. but i'm new to this stuff too.

Thanks, I'll stick to those suggestions. I think I just found a small colony of purple and green "hitchiker" polyps emerging from one of my rocks today. They are super tiny, but there are about 15 of them. Hopefully they will grow out and cover the rock!!!

No need to worry about anything. I never go by Watt per gallon......

yeah i'm finding that most reefers don't.
