Well.. As most of you know.. My lucky to be alive cat Duma destroyed my 90g mixed reef. He causes a vase to fall off a shelf 3 feet away and hit the top eurobraced corner , cracking the left panel :/
Well, here is the 'silver lining' .. Of course I am now going bigger and better! :)

135 g Lee-Mar .5" glass eurobraced (72.5x18x25.5")
Center overflow w dual returns

Advanced Acrylic sump w skimmer stand
3/8" 48x 12.5x 17"

Beautiful tall dark wood stand
76 x 20.5 x 38
With a killer canopy that opens front AND top!

:) :)
Now.. I just transferred into a temp tank 2 weeks ago, and hadn't planned to buy anything right away.. But the deal was great, and it's everything I want in a show tank! So I pulled the trigger :) it may have ricocheted off of my marriage temporarily .. But .. Come ON!! It's perfect!! Lol

Will be collecting dry sand and some more live rock. Also have to figure out my lighting now :/ didn't really consider that in the thrill of the hunt lol
I use a 48" photon now..
Ideally I'd like to sell it and purchase 2 32" photons.. But I may just hafta piecemeal this a bit, and just find an led China box or something to add to the 48 and make due, while the dust settles :)
Luckily the rest of my current equipment will do well in the upgrade.. ( dc6000 pump and modded SRO 2000 int skimmer) With the exception of flow. I'll either add 2 more wp25s ( 4 total) or just ditch them and add 2 wp40 to pick up the slack.

So.. There ya have it .. For now ;)
I hope to have it running in the next month , giving me and my livestock a sec to catch our breath from the last transfer, and time to collect the needed items.

Thanks for looking :)
J

Anybody have suggestions about t5s?
Tank is 72 long and 18 wide.. Could I get away w one 60" t5 retro , front and back of the 48" led panel.. I'd have 6" of empty space on each end of the t5s though..
Thoughts?

Well.. It's coming along nicely now. Got the plumbing all done finally! Have leak tested and all is well ..

Have replaced zip ties now with hose clamps :)
Just finished rinsing 120 lbs of dry special grade reef sand, am finishing up the making of 125 gallons on nsw.
The plan is to start the transfer on Saturday morning.. And this time get the fish into tank by afternoon .
Since the tank stand is bigger I may start making an electrical "panel" to mount all the pump/ ATO controllers etc..
Oh.. And I finally just ordered the second RB photon 32.
Still not sure if I'll go open top or use the canopy.. But I think I'll need a mod on the hood for a piano hinge flip up front, for easy access into tank .
For now I'll prob hang the lights from brackets till I figure it out..
Looking forward to 'T'- Day ..
More to come :)

Well.. Tomorrow is the big day :) got 130g of nsw mixed.. Some cool rock collected.. And found this awesome table acro cured skeleton .. Think I may plant it in the sandbed as an island for lobo, Wellso or something. Thought about gluing to to the top off a pillar , but then you wouldn't appreciate the form as much.. So undecided for now. It's over a foot across :)
Gonna start bright and early , hopefully done by dinner time.. Lol who am I kidding.. BEER .. It's what's for dinner! ;p at least tomorrow it is!

Good luck!

Why not get the water circulating in the new tank? Or is it going in the same spot as your old one? Are you using as much of the old water as you can?

Thanks :) yup .. Goin in the same spot.. Makes for a much more involved job.. But got no choice lol
I'm gonna save as much as I can .. But I'm thinking all the water used for holding corals and fish is prob not a good idea to reuse after housing livestock in bins/ cans 6-8 hours huh?

Personally I would use the coral water, but not the fish holding water. Or do your best to match the temp, alk and ph of the new water. You might need some buffer.

90 is long gone.. Lol that's too big for my herd anyhow :) no place for 2 big setups .. Craig about lost his mind when he saw me get the new 6' setup.. He actually said .. 'It's gonna be the whole focus of the livingroom.. It's too big!' Lmfao.. Um... Duh?!
