Hi,

I'm new to this forum and I need help. I'm on a budget. I have a JBJ 45 gallon RL. Should I get a kessil 150w or 350w? Please Help. Thank you.

Depends on what you plan on keeping. But of the two you've mentioned, I think a 350 would be ideal.

Sweet. Just order one with a gooseneck. More to come.

360W is the ****! You will love it don't worry. The natural shimmer will put you in such a tranquil state of mind you'll get lost staring into your tank! Happened to me all the time.

I'm not sure about the cpr bak pak. But I had a AquaC remora, with the optional overflow attachment and it worked great. If you decide to go with The remora get cobalt MJ1200 pump to run it and you'll be good to go.

I have the JBJ 30g rimless and I have the Cadlightes pipeless skimmer and like it. I don't have room behind my tank so it had to be in one of the rear chambers. If you have room behind your tank, look into the Aquamaxx HOB skimmer. Great skimmer for HOBs. The CPR is ok but noisy.

One thing to consider with HOB skimmers is if the cup overflows. Do the skimmer cups have a way to drain back into the tank?
