So no issues running this externally? I have a waveline DC 6000 that I run internally, I noticed on its connections it has O-rings, I assume to help keep everything water-tight for external running. Does the Jebao come with O-rings? Any issues setting it up leak free?

The only other concern that I have is having seen a few folks break the threaded portion off of the input/output. In your opinion is it pretty high quality and these few individuals probably tightened their fittings too hard?

Last question, I am setting up a 140 cube. I think that the DC-12000 sounds pretty perfect, but was considering a reeflo snapper/dart. Do you think that the DC-12000 would do a good job?

Ben, I haven't had any problems with them breaking off. It could be that they over tightened them. The threads aren't perfect with a pipe thread, but works enough. There are no o-rings, but a for a few dollars at Lowe's or Home Depot you can put them in for peace of mind. I just used teflon tape and it worked just fine. I think the 12000 would do well on a 140 cube. I can also ship it to you for $10.

Currently the local supplier is not offering a warranty. I believe Jebao does, but I am not sure of the terms and conditions. I am researching that for you. I have another supplier of these pumps that may offer a warranty and I will contact them to find out. However, I offer a case by case warranty on just about anything I sell.

Thanks for the pump Chad. This thing is going to be bad a** in my new system. Have it running in a 30 gallon brute right now for water circulation as I wait for pick up. This thing is super quiet. As far as warranty I remember seeing something on the slip of paper that comes in the box. Check it!

Looks like they are coming out with a WP-10 as well. Hmm maybe nice for a little nano.

I got this bad boy (DC12000) up 100% right now still quiet as can be and cool. Great little pump. Thanks again Chad
