Hey SoCali! I've just recently moved to LA to live closer to where I'm going to school at Cal Poly Pomona majoring in Geography (GIS). It's taken a while for me to moved all of my corals and equipment while still attending classes so it's been a very slow process but I've finally got most of the important things here now. I had to downgrade size from a 135 tank where all the fish are currently to a 60g for the corals because of apartment limits.

Here's a few shots from today, pretty much all of my corals especially SPS have browned out from the transition but hopefully Ill get some color back in the next few months. So I'll be updating the tank's progress.

I'm having issues with the phosates right now too since I forgot the Rowa at my father's house. I have established biopellets still running on the 135 at his home that kept phosphates around .04. Now with not biopellets or rowa at the moment the phosphate has risen to .20 in the last few weeks in the frag tank which is another reason why everything is brown :argue:

thats alot of light.
I think its somewhere around 700 watts right now at peak power. Halides are only on for 70minutes a day but will slowly at more time when the corals start adjusting to the change. They were under a 324w T5 and all Kessils up to 90% intensity at peak previously. This is really my first setup with halide as the main source.

A lot has changed since a few months ago: I got the second frag tank up and running, transferred and upgraded to 240g fowlr, changed lights on the frag system, changed plumbing and finally got the system stable and colors are really starting to come back! I have all T5 on the prop system with mostly Geisemann bulbs and have done a lot of other little changes as well.

First pix is the sps tank with 2x 175w halides, 2x 39w T5, and 4x Kessil A360w. Second pix is the new lighting with all Geisemann T5: Actinic blue, Actinic blue, Super Actinic, Actinic blue, Azure blue, Super Purple, Actinic blue, Actinic blue. Third is the lps zoa tank. And last pix is the view from my couch, no TV needed!
