The kalk king needs a ro water reservoir to top off water for the kalk or to put ro water in your display tank. I've seen this in action. I hope this is clear.

I don't see how it's going to replace both your kalk stirrer and calcium reactor.

The calcium reactor is used to continuously add calcium and alk to your reef.

The kalk stirrer only adds calcium and alk to top off RODI water. (Because top off water is usually ph neutral with no calcium)

So if the kalk king only adds calcium and alk to replacement water (top off) then it's no different than a regular kalk stirrer other than it looks really cool.

I evaporate about 2 gallons a day. I drip 2 gallons of kalk mixture a day.

Though my calcium reactor drips 24x7 to keep my alk at 11 and my calcium at 475.

I'm tagging along. But I don't see how the kalk king can replace both, unless your system does not need both to start with.

Like I said, I'm "Trying" to replace kalk stirrer, cal reactor and tunze osmolator with this new system, according to what I talked with kong, it's possible since my tank evaporates about 4-5g per day, I have not many corals in the tank yet and still running the calcium reactor.
What I really like of this system is that you can set up the PH desired in your tank and when this is on that point kalk king have a by pass and only add RO Water instead.

Jorge hopefully you know that I was not doubting you I'm just trying to work the numbers out in my head. (Its quite confusing up there at times. Haha)

I do that already with solenoids from autotopoff.com I use my ac3 and control which solenoid to open or close depending on the ph.

My solenoids are closed and then open when the outlet is turned on.

If my ph is > 8.35 I open solenoid 1 (fresh RODI), if its less than 8.35 solenoid 2 opens then it runs thru my kalkwasser which is fed from the same RODI reservoir .

I don't use a float but I use a pressurized float to turn on my pump. I was tired of the float getting dirty and stop working

I know what u mean Kevin, have you tried making the lime water more concentrated stirring the kalk for more time and more often?
Every system is different and some of them demand more
I'm still learning how to use it and only time will tell if really works.

Jorge I have and I this is what I found out for me....

If its more concentrated I get a ph around 18 - 22 dkh. But after a week or two it goes back down to 12 which doesn't keep up my alk and calcium.

My calcium reactor is constantly dripping 23 dkh.

Someone 9 years ago told me that my drip from my calcium reactor should be double of whatever I want my alk to be.

My calcium reactor maintains my calcium and alk but when I filed my evap water with straight RODI it would lower my alk and calcium. That's why I added the kalk reactor.

How this helps!!
