I am planning to start dosing this weekend after I get my test kits in (Cal & Alk). I already have the BRS Kalk mix and a dosing pump DP-4 and I have a PH probe on my apex fluctuating from 7.9-8.2
My questions are:
How do you determine a baseline on how much your system is using? Do you test the first day and test the next day or weekly to see how much ca & alk your system is using?
In using the calculator, do I calculate on CA or ALK? I know one affects the other but since I cannot find a calculator that will calculate both at the same time with Kalkwasser which one do I focus on?
Once I have the calculation do I just divide the volume with the in-between test days to get to my target parameters so I can set the dosage is on my dosing pump?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
