Kessil flickering when "off."

I recently hooked my Kessil 150w up to a mechanical plug in wall type timer. When the light is in the "off" position the light flickers on about every 5-10 mins. I guess the timer allows a small current into the light which causes the flickering effect.

Does anyone have any solution or suggestions? maybe I need a new timer?

Yeah it sounds like the timer could be defective where it still closes the circuit randomly.
If it is a mechanical type, some of the contacts might not be lined up properly and hitting each other at certain times even when set to 'Off'

Could be the problem. Tomorrow I'm going to get another timer rated for led, hopefully that will solve the issue!

Well I got a new one from homedepot "rated" for led and still the same problem, just less frequent "flashes."

Not sure what to do at this point, anyone have suggestions?

Try plugging in a incandescent nightlight on the same outlet. The light should should use up the electricity trickling through..

I had a similar problem with the 360w. Try to blow out all the dust that could have accumulated in the fixture and see if that will work.

Does it only flicker when it's on a timer or does it also do that when you use it without the timer?
