I have been using it lately on my tank it works pretty good. But go super slow. I dose it directly in the intake of my skimmer and run a filter sock on the output of the skimmer. This way none of the precipitate can make it back to the dt. I dosed two drops of phosphate e every other day for a Week and it brought po4 from .25 to .03. None of my acros even flinched when adding the lacl.

Seems like a more dangerous alternative to GFO. Did some reading and Nick you have some nice fish. Probably too nice to gamble with some of the potential problems dosing it would bring.

I did. I dropped the drops in my overflow. It mixed in the overflow and fell into the sock and filter floss in the sock to help bind the precipitation to the floss

If it's just for phosphate I would just use phosphate e. Seems much less technical and has always worked for me.

it works but use a hobby grade one and follow the directions. Using too much can kill your fish. It binds to the phosphates so it can be taken out by the filtration in your tank already. It's been used heavily in commercial applications for a while now.

You can use it to control your phosphates perpetually, but as some have mentioned here, i find GFO to work better in the long run. Just don't forget to replace it.
