I want a leapard wrasse but I heard that they are hard to keep. Any particular reason why? I found a place that has some eating frozen food pretty well.

Welcome to the forum! Some fish tend to have poor success in acclimating into the aquarium world. Seeing a leopard eat before you buy it is always a plus. What size tank do you have? Also wrasse' need a decent sand bed as that's literally their bed. Any pics of your setup?

I have a 120 with the sand bed ranging from 3-5 inches. I can try to get some pictures on later tonight. How much do they usually cost? I found one place selling them for 30 and another for 40$

I'd pay $30 for a leopard. do you have a lid on your tank? I know a lot of wrasses are known jumpers.

No but I've been looking into getting some glass sheets for that reason and to slow down evaporation. I'll make sure I do that first

Leopard Wrasses are my favorite fishes. They do not ship well nor acclimate to aquarium environments easily, which is why they are notorious for dying within a couple of days. I would recommend not buying a leopard unless it has been in the LFS for at least a week and is eating. Otherwise, you basically have a good chance of spending your money on a dead fish. GL!
