thinking about investing in the 18 watts Sportlight LED from aquastyle for my fluval edge
my question is would 1 of these bulbs be enough to sustain softies and some LPS or would getting 2 bulbs be the better choice?
a cooling fan necessary?
i have no experience with LEDs so any tips and advice would be greatly welcomed

i have leds over my tank and I think that 1 would be plenty. just make sure that you raise it up about 8 inches or so to get the best coverage. 2 would be overkill.

This is what i did for my fluval edge:

These are the LED's I have, they just fit right into the stock fixture:

you could switch out the Compact fluorescent for an actinic and be done. Easy and cheap, just the way I like it lol.

Its pretty freaking bright and it doesn't take away from the edge's design, I grew high light plants and they grew like weeds so i see no problem in growing corals.
