How you guys deal with the daily stiring up of sand? My blue star loves to make my water cloudy lol. I have to go back and make sure my chalices are nor buried under sand
I'm trying to figure out where she like to stir up and move my corals around to avoid the sand storm.

In my experience they don't have a spot, as soon as light out and there is sand, they dive... I have 4 blue stars and thinking of selling for the same reason. My blue stars are 4.5" so they get the tank cloudy every single night....

I think it might have to do with the size of the sand. In the qt I didn't see much stir up. In my main display she can't make up her mind where she likes better.

I have 2 that sleeps on the opposite side of the tank, same spot each time but doesn't stir up the sand like 12 line wrasse does. This one will make a sand storm when he dives in looking for critters. He also sleep in the same spot each night.

Have 2 leopards and a Melanarus and they don't really stir up the sand. The Melanarus sleeps in the same spot every night but I don't know where the leopards go.

Same for me... my two yellow canary wrasses stir up more sand when they are hunting then any of my fish included the potters and reg leopard. And I think my fish sleep in the same spots every night.

Maybe theMerchant s wrasse has insomnia?

That's pretty normal though considering they bury themselves when they go to sleep. My bluestar does it around 5 & the yellow around 7. They kick up a bit of sand but not a big deal, did you just get it?
