Let's try and get some club type thing going?

Hi fellow reefers in the San Fernando Valley

A couple of us are going to try and get some sort of club going. We got some interest from the local shops (s/o Vivid and Golden State) to host/support us.

This is a great opportunity to meet fellow reefers, learn, trade and bank corals with others and help support our community and local stores. We’ll have bbq’s, frag swaps, etc
Also, Elliot from GSC offered to open after hours for hang outs, etc.
I know there are a lot of reefers in the valley (SFV and Simi) and surrounding areas, so it would be nice to build a strong community.

I remember when we started SFVR. Was fun ?…..

I designed the logo for it. Looked dope! Super down to design another one and help with anything club related.

folks moved out of the city and state. Some of us remained but either took a hobby break. The great part is that about half of the club is back into the hobby again and I’m sure they would like to see a new club started.

I’m up for it. SFV native, currently living in Thousand Oaks, but will make the drive. Vivid is close enough.

I would join/attend, but I dont get home from work until after 7:30 PM on weekdays.....so....I guess I will miss out

The one thing Elliot (Golden State Corals) and I talked about is getting together later in the evening (possibly on a weekend night) as a hangout night. So there's room to get everyone involved and make this club fun for all.

This i think would be the best option. Elliot is a much better guy than vivid owner, If that makes a difference

thanks so much for the responses im happy to see this is getting some traction. also glad that the lfs around here are eager to support us. they seem to have some great ideas themselves for engaging us reefers so let's see what we can do to support eachother

Elliot is a cool guy, I’m sure he’d be up for it.
FragBQ would be awesome! However, It would require some planning, which I’m pretty sure Elliot is limited on.

We've been talking about it for a while now and a friend smokes a mean brisket, so we're covered. Just need the weather to break for us a little. I think this club can be really good for us all and hopefully we can create a strong community of reefers and friends.
