LF Recommended Stores Accessible From Pasadena (as well as a couple further high end)

Hey everyone,

I am brand new to the Pasadena area and have no idea where to go for supplies/livestock. I have been searching for stores through google, but it is hard to sift through the results and most reviews are mixed/old. I need to find some easily accessible stores around Pasadena as well as a few that may be further, but are worth the drive. Any input about quality, pricing/value, and options/stock would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, willing to check a few out for variety but it is good to know there is something good nearby! I don't know why almost nothing shows up near Pasadena when searching on google. Maybe I do not know good search words.

You can check out Pasadena Tropical Fish(PTF). They appear to have a wide selection of livestocks and dry goods but prices might be above average. Further east you have Ocean Marine Sales off Grand off the 210 fwy. Decent amount of livestock and dry goods and is mainly saltwater fish store. SPS Store in La Canada ia a place worth checking out.

I would stay away from pasadena tropical fish, most of their livestock is in very poor health. I would go to ocean marine sales for fish.

Pasadena Tropical is hit or miss with fish health and pricing. You can tell which fish have been in their systems way too long. The owner's pretty cool though and if he hooks up returning customers with better livestock pricing. Bought my borbonious from him and paid way less than what everyone else was asking for.

Yep!! Sps coral store is where it's at! Has everything. Salt, food, additives, lights, tanks, etc... And of course SPS.
