Well, let me begin by saying generally I am not one for negativity or penny-pinching. But alas, I must voice my opinion. I just got home from Fish Collection(few miles east of the 57 on Yorba Linda) and once again I got the same less than stellar experience. It goes a little something like this...
First, I call the store and ask if they have any 3/4 tubing. They say yes and it is $1/foot. So I drive down there and ask for the tubing. He tries to convince me I need less than 15 feet, but I say thanks I'll just take 15 feet. Then I look around a little at fish and corals then go to the register where another person is there. She asks him how much for the tubing he says "$1/foot 18 feet". I wait to look at the register in case I misheard what he said. "That'll be $19.40." she says. I look at the register and say "No it was 15 feet." She doesn't bat an eye and quickly replies with "No, 18". I just laugh to myself and pay it and walk out.
Now it's not the 3 dollars that has me writing this. It's the fact that this has happened more than once. He raised the price at the register with maroon clowns before and I won't go into other things, but suffices to say, it was the same story. I have come across this behavior in other stores as well, but not as pronounced as this one.
I would like to get some opinions and/or experiences from all of you out there.
