i have a current usa nova extreme 48" 6 bulb lighting fixture....everywhere i look the ceiling hanging kit is out of stock with no ETA to a new shipment and the hanging arm kit has been discontinued...other arm kits were built for tanks that are 24" wide while mine is only 18" wide...so im looking to all the other DIY'ers out there for some ideas on how to do a custom hanging kit...i already know im going to need the 2 point hanging wire from rapidled.com so im just looking for a way to make arms of something...anybody have any good ideas?

This is what I did, I can adjust the height up and down and when I need to service the tank I can swing the light out of the way.

How'd u do that? Pricing, process, equipment, etc?
It is 1/2" conduit and all I did was use the tubing bender in the same eisle to get the two bends in it. Total cost is $2. 43 and a tubing cutter from harbor freight for $5. 00.

I made mine from wood and some L shaped brakets. Cost me about 4 bucks. You can paint them to match your stand. I got lazy and left mine original. Haha
