Lighting help!!!

Hello, I have a 40 gallon 28X23. Currently I am using one ML Hamilton 250W 20K, is that too much light? I can only use one ML light, what is optimized lighting set up for this tank?

that's what i would want... keep it... just raise it up if stuff starts to bleach or die off...

I think my rose anenome is bleaching because of this, I cannot raise the light, what should i do???

a nem will bleach for a bunch different things... my RBTA bleached for no reason once... all it's tentacles shrank, but then came back... didn't do anything different, or change anything... they just act up sometimes... i've seen nems under intense lights... so i doubt it is because of too much light...

Yes it can bleach because of too much light, turn the lights on less time if you cant raise the lights.

photo period adjustments doesn't change par...
