How is the two skimmer setup working out for you? Are they rated the same?

I'm not sure if running two skimmers is better than one big one but they both pull out tons of dark skimmate. I think it has something to do with the ozone. I run one skimmer wet and the other dry. I think the RO POV-dc8 is rated for 200-300g and the SM250 rated for 600g, if there is medium bioload.

Thats awsome!
I have been trying to talk the wife into letting me set up a 300-500gallon money pit. Problem is, I just bought a new Cirrus SR22T Platinum Edition and as such, I am all out of "can I spend some moola" excuses for awhile. lol

I agree. However, isn't having a new plane is even more of money pit? Does the new plane look like this? What is the range and where have you taken it?

Who's the boss of the tank?
Big Boy gem tang rules the tank. He's 8" long and about 2" thick.

Great job Matt. Loving the Choati wrasse and the candy basslet
Thank you.

Yep. It looks like that except that is a Carbon STS model. I bought the Generation 5 SR-22T Platinum. Same body basically but my paint is silver and blue.
Yep Yep...planes are money pits but I bought new so its covered by a spinner to tail warranty.
Range depends upon fuel consumption but its has about a 4 hour endurance. Max altitude of 25K.
I am going to Cirrus headquarters in Duluth MN next week to pick it up. I did the "leaseback" thing to satisfy the interstate commerce tax loophole requirements. Saved me about 85K in sales tax.

Very cool! Love CBBs, do you leave the clam whole or cut it up smaller? And what's up with the tang? Doesn't he know he is supposed to eat algae?

I just feed the whole clan. I buy a bunch of whole live clams and just stored in the freezer.

Great video Matt...marginalis is nice but that fem wrasse harem is fricken amazing.
Thank you. I started off with a trio of females then the largest turned male after a year. I've had them few years now. They are quite hardy once established.
Nice tanks! Got pics of the sump area of the 300?
My sump is not pretty but functional. I have it plumbed outside so noise is not an issue. I just have to worry about heating and cooling. However, where I live the temperature always ranges between 60-80F. I also have a solar system which helps out a lot.

My DIY algae turf scrubber to take advantage of my overflow drain. Makes about 2 cups of algae every two weeks.

I run two skimmers, one runs wet other runs dry. Ozone feeds into skimmer.
