I have a patch of hair algae(not sure which sp.) on one live rock. I pulled most of it off, but it is starting to grow back. It is nowhere else in the tank. I would just remove the rock, but it has two toadstools attached. Is there anything I could put on the algae directly that would kill the algae and not harm the rest of the coral.

turn off all the pumps and carefully put kalk paste on it or if you can pull the rock and smother it that be best. I've killed caulerpa this way and aiptasia too. Just don't let it fly around in the water column where it can do collateral damage.

I have not seen turbo snails ever eating hair algae. When you remove the algae, be careful because you can spread spores in your tank. Use a siphon over the spot when you remove it. Lower your phosphate in your tank and it won't grow back.
