I own both the RKL and the Apex Lite, they are both great investments. But I personally give the edge to the Neptune. It looks more expensive at first but by the time you make a RKE net ready the prices are pretty comparable. I purchased the RKL Plus for $279 (awesome deal for what you get) two weeks ago and the Apex Lite for $369 plus $45 for the PH probe. It sucks having three tanks in two different locations. Also I heard Neptune is coming out with another Apex Model that will start at around $150. If you are a true gadget person like me spend the $$ for the Neptune.

Ya, I ended up with the RKE... But my first choice was the Apex Elite. I didn't end up getting it, because I got a crazy deal on the RKE. I really like the Apex though, Neptune definitely has there S*$# together.

I have both the RKL and the Neptune ACjr and am ready to expand the acjr, with a new DC8 and possibly adding the new Apex Jr. We are controlling 3 tanks with the ACjr....so I have an RKL available, if anyone is still looking for one.

It really is a great help to have a controller and for the price, the RKL does its job very well.

Also, I spoke to the Neptune rep at MAX and the Apex Jr, soon to be released, is about the $150 range...I would definitely go with that for the $.....

Then again, the RKL is still a little less expensive, so for those on a smaller budget....
